TISHA B’AV SERVICE. Tisha b’av is the day on which both Temples were destroyed, and other tragedies that have befallen our people were launched. We gather together in a sanctuary lit by candles and the Eternal Lamp, and take this time as a community to remember and mourn what has befallen us. Yet, we are still here. The Book of Lamentations will be chanted with its unique haunting tune, and we will read poetry, share our own experiences of Jerusalem, and sing a few solemn laments, including one by Don McClean! (By the Waters of Babylon). Please join us for this moving, unique service.
