Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement
Moving to a More Comfortable Seat
Driving, kayaking, sewing, typing, dining, sitting (and standing and sitting) in services, or just relaxing in front of the TV – all of these activities are more enjoyable when you are more comfortable sitting! In this series of three very-low impact Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement sessions, you will sit in a chair and do teeny, surprising movements that guide your nervous system in exploring new ways to sit comfortably. You can’t get hurt with the Feldenkrais Method; the slower and more gently you move, the better it works. And you might amaze yourself by finding new ways to do the things you love doing seated.
Three Wednesdays, 9:30 – 10:30 AM, (about 45 minute lesson) $25 for series or $10 per session donation to BHC.

About Jacki Katzman, Certified Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement Teacher and Practitioner: Jacki is a member of BHC who recently earned her Feldenkrais teacher certification. “I was practicing yoga, Tai Chi, and skiing, but my habits were repeatedly leading me to injury. The Feldenkrais Method helped me get past these limits and actually improve. Moshe Feldenkrais’ Method is teaching me to slow down, become more self-aware and be my own best teacher. I’ve been inspired by Moshe Feldenkrais’ ethos that it’s never to late to find more ease in doing the things you love.”
