JFNH 2025 Annual Meeting and Shem Tov Awards

Report by Martin Kessel

On Sunday afternoon Aug. 17th a contingent of well wishers from the Bethlehem Hebrew Congregation accompanied Jacki Katzman to receive her 2025 Shem Tov Award at the Annual Meeting of the Jewish Federation of New Hampshire in Bedford, NH.

The Shem Tov (Good Name) awards were created by the JFNH to recognize volunteers from organizations across NH who have provided outstanding service to the Jewish Community.

Thirteen recipients from 11 different synagogues and the JFNH were nominated by their respective organizations.

Cheering on Jacki from BHC and enjoying a light Mediterranean meal, were Rabbi Donna Kirshbaum, Michel Adler, Lucy Goodhart and Gordon Bennett, and Gail Robinson and Martin Kessel.

The well orchestrated award ceremony featured the new Executive Director of JFNH, Erik Martin, presenting the award, while Dina Berch, JFNH Program Coordinator read the award citation.

The Award Ceremony was part of the Annual General Meeting of the JFNH featuring reports and welcoming the incoming President of the Federation, Jeremy Berger.

BHC is proud to add Jacki to the impressive list of our members who received the award in past years.
